The Polo match and Tailgating Competition begins at 2:00 P.M. - You may arrive as early as 1:00 P.M. Tailgating Competition Info: http://www.tinicumpolo.org/id48.html

During the match tailgating is allowed that may include the moderate use of wine or beer. Absolutely no hard liquor is allowed.

A hiking biking Delaware Canal Tow Path is located just beyond the Polo Field and Frisbee Golf Course.

Admission Fee: There is a $10 per car admission fee for the polo match. This does include a door prize ticket for each attendee for one of the 3 door prizes that are given away following the polo match.

The match is usually over between 3:30 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. At the end of the match those wishing to do group activities will meet with RJ.

After the match those of you would like to do so may join us to decide what things we will do as a group. Our choices include: wine tasting in the castle at Sand Castle Winery, nearby Covered Bridge, Ringing Rock State Park, Frenchtown, and/or New Hope. Sand Castle Winery is 3 miles south of the polo field. Of course as with the other activities you may choose if and when you do so. A covered bridge is just south of the park. You can see and drive through it by turning right on the first road that is south of the field, and then turning right on the next road. The bridge will be ahead of you. It is a very short distance from Route 32/River Road. Another possibility is a visit to the nearby Ringing Rocks State Park. It is approximately 3 to 5 miles north of the polo field.

For those doing things as a group: We will meet at RJ's white Tinicum Polo Social Club Member's tent that is on the same side and before the announcer’s building. His golden tan Prius will be parked there with red Meetup signs in its side and rear windows. I am the Polo Social Club's greeter. As such he does walk around the entire field welcoming people to the match. So he might not be at his tent or near his Prius. Just look for him wearing a straw hat, brown felt hat (as seen in his profile's photo) or no hat at all. To find his tent and Prius, as you drive into the field the Social Club tents are are on the far side of the field. Continue on the road staying to your right to go to the far side of the field. The canal path is also straight ahead at the base of the hill (mountain) that is behind the field. At Wine and Polo the Social Club white tents might be used for Wine and Polo sponsors on the near side of the field. If you plan on attending the match you may bring folding chairs, pop-up tents, umbrellas, etc. Depending upon when you arrive (gates open at 1:00 P.M.) you may choose to have tailgating on the side of the field that is closest to the entrance or on the opposite side at either end of the Social Club tents. There is also a large green and white public tent that has chairs. Provided is not being used for an event, seating there is on a first come first serve basis.

Check in with RJ: Please let RJ know you are there.

Directions: Tinicum Park Polo filed is adjacent to the Delaware River on Route 32/River Road in Erwinna, Pennsylvania. It is one mile south of the Frenchtown New Jersey Delaware River Bridge. It is located between Easton and New Hope Pennsylvania. There are usually flags at the entrance to the field. Although there are two entrances to the park, the entrance to the polo field is the one that is adjacent to the baseball field. If you are coming from the Philladelphia, or southern New Jersey areas via I-95, or from New Hope, or Lambertville, coming up Route 29 on the New Jersey side of the Delaware is a better road than the road going north on Route 32. Route 32 is a narrow twisting road and may be closed as a result of flooding. On 29 in Frenchtown you will turn left to cross the Delaware River Bridge, then turn left. The field is one mile south on your right. Coming from the East, northern New Jersey, or PA via I-78, take Exit 15 South onto 513 South. Stay on it past the Pittstown Inn Restaurant/Grill and then continue on it to your right. In Frenchtown you will cross the Delaware River Bridge. In Frenchtown 513 goes down hill and then turns right. Continue on it to cross the Delaware River Bridge, then turn right. The field is one mile on your right.
